Savannah is a small, beautiful city built around an elaborate neo-classical grid interrupted by 21 open public squares, each uniquely designed, bordered by churches or public buildings, and usually marked in honor or memory of a person or event.  It is an amazing place which has preserved its history on almost every block.  Savannah is definitely on my list of places to return at some point to further explore.
