Amon Carter Museum
The Amon Carter Museum, originally opened in 1961 to house the western art collection of Fort Worth publisher and philanthropist Amon G. Carter, Sr. (1879–1955), has an immense collection of 19th and 20th century American paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures.
